REFUND POLICY
Our Returns Approach
At Little Black Tee, every piece is made-to-order just for you. Because of this, we can only accept returns if something goes wrong - your item arrives damaged, has a manufacturing fault, or we've sent you the wrong thing. You have 21 days from your original purchase date to let us know.
How to Start a Return
Email us at studio@littleblacktee.co.uk within 21 days and include:
- Your order number
- Photos of the full item and the problem you're reporting
- A quick description of what's wrong
We'll review your request and if it's approved, we'll send you instructions on how to return your item.
When We Accept Returns
We'll accept returns for genuine quality issues:
- Print errors or designs placed incorrectly on the garment
- Prints that are fading, cracking, or peeling on arrival
- Embroidery that's coming loose, unraveling, or poorly finished
- Fabric tears or significant manufacturing defects
- You received the wrong item, size, or colour
What's Not Considered a Fault
Small variations in print placement (1-2cm either way) happen naturally when items are made-to-order - this is standard across the industry. Similarly, embroidered pieces may have slight thread variations that are part of the handcrafted nature of embroidery work. These aren't defects.
Condition Requirements
Items must come back to us unworn and unwashed, with all original tags still attached and in the original packaging. If we can see the item's been worn or tags have been removed, we'll have to send it back to you at your cost.
Changed Your Mind?
Because we make each piece specifically for you once you order, we can't accept returns for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or if you simply don't like it. Please double-check everything before you complete your order.
Cancelling Your Order
Once we've sent your order into production (usually within 24 hours), we can't cancel it. Check your basket carefully before checkout.
Sending Items Back
You'll need to cover the cost of return postage - we don't offer free returns. Use a tracked service and keep your proof of postage. We can't take responsibility for items that go missing on their way back to us.
If your return is approved because we sent you something faulty or incorrect, we'll cover your original shipping costs. Otherwise, original shipping charges aren't refundable.
Your Refund Options
Once your returned item reaches us, we'll check it over and email you within a couple of days to confirm whether your return is approved.
If approved, we'll process your refund within 14 days. You can choose:
- Bank refund - We'll refund your original payment method. Your bank should show this within 10 working days of us processing it, though some banks are faster than others.
- Store credit - We'll send you a digital gift card straight away that you can use on any future order.
Refund Taking Longer Than Expected?
First, check your bank account online or via your banking app. Then call your card company - sometimes there's a delay on their side before transactions show up. If you've tried both and there's still no sign of your refund two weeks after we've confirmed it's been processed, drop us a line at studio@littleblacktee.co.uk.
Sale Items
Items bought in a sale can only be exchanged for store credit if they arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect. We don't offer bank refunds on sale purchases.
About Colours
Colours can look different on every screen depending on your brightness settings and display type. The printing process can also create subtle colour variations. These minor differences aren't considered faults.
Getting Your Size Right
We don't accept returns for sizing issues because each item is custom-made for your order. Check our size charts carefully, and if you're between sizes or unsure, email studio@littleblacktee.co.uk before ordering and we'll help you choose.
Delivery Issues
Once the courier confirms delivery, we can't offer refunds or replacements. Make sure your delivery address is complete and accurate, and that it's somewhere secure. If your parcel is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address, we can resend it but you'll need to cover the reshipping cost.
What We Can't Accept Back
- Gift cards
- Items that have been worn or washed
- Items with tags removed or missing
- Items ordered in the wrong size
Gift Returns
If someone bought you a gift and had it shipped directly to your address, any approved return will be issued as store credit sent to your email.
If the person who bought it had it delivered to themselves first, we'll refund them directly and let them know you've returned the item.
